MTD Construction, the core subsidiary of MTD Capital Berhad, was a founder member of the Sadec Group operations in Malaysia. As a pioneer consortium member in Sadec Malaysian Consortium, MTD Construction provided instrumental insights and corporate support for the development of the infrastructure initiatives in Vietnam. The initiatives included the Saigon-VungTau Highway project and the Binh An Water Supply project.
MTD Construction's main business is the highway construction. It is well-known in the market for complex highway projects, particularly those involving hill slope and pavement rehabilitation. It has since completed several highway projects, including two major highways across difficult terrain.
Sadec Pelangi was the Financial Advisor in the tender bidding and successful development of the privatised Kuala Lumpur - Karak Highway project. This project is under implementation by MTD Prime. The Sadec Group also assisted in the pre-listing work enabling the listing of the MTD group of companies on the Second Board of the Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange, under the flagship of MTD Capital Berhad.
In addition to the presence in highway construction, the MTD group is also involved in trading and rental of vehicles, plant and equipment and provision of workshop services, and property development. Through its subsidiary in Chile, MTD group is developing a satellite township within a resort cum country setting at Pirque near Santiago, Chile.
