Kumpulan Emas Berhad ( Emas ) is a consortium member of Sadec Malaysian Consortium, and is involved both in equity and contract management in Binh An Water Corporation Limited, the special purpose vehicle implementing the Binh An Water Supply project in Vietnam.
The Sadec Group has been involved with the Emas Group since 1993, when it advised the Group on its strategic rationalisation plans, and in particular the proposed divestment of its interest in Metropolitan Utilities Corporation, a privatised water supply company operating in North Malaysia.
Emas is listed on the Main Board of the Kuala Stock Exchange with effect from 1984. The Emas group is involved in engineering advisory and consultancy services; turnkey engineering projects and management; agricultural advisory; insurance agency; investment holding in oil palm plantations; palm oil mills; engineering; investment and operation of timber concessions; undertaking of water pumping and waste treatment projects; marketing of engineering equipment and chemicals; manufacture and re-conditioning of plant and
equipment for the general industries; civil and other general engineering contracting; marketing of computer systems and software; imaging and document management services; property investment; cultivation of oil palm fruits and processing into crude palm oil and palm kernel; cultivation of cocoa fruits; manufacture of latex dipped products; manufacture of cryogenic vessels; provision of human resource development, training services and consultancy services on management and information systems; agents for oil and gas industry equipment; and metal spraying and coating services.
